BACKGROUND
These recordings were created by Chris Menkhaus for MusicalFamilyTree.net. This was the last show that Charlie Don’t Surf played before we disbanded and went our separate ways. The show was a ‘Muncie Invades Indy’ show in which all of the good bands from Muncie were being showcased for the Indianapolis crowd. I think the recordings are pretty decent considering the minimal amount of recording gear that was used.

RANDOM CDS FACT #1
The songs “Sonic Flashback” and “Nintendough Church” were off of a new Charlie Don’t Surf album that was in the works at the time of the show. It was going to be called ‘This is NOT Surf Music’ but we disbanded before it got recorded.

Last night I was priveledged enough to be the musical guest on the Good Beer Show (the original Beer Podcast) to talk about Megatrend Records. As always, the guys (AND VICKI) from the Good Beer Show were excellent hosts and provided quite an entertaining Sunday night. My name is Frank and I created this blog to share my musical experiments with the masses. I intend to upload every piece of music that I’ve ever recorded so that everyone can hear it. I have a feeling that this website will eventually become a huge pain in the ass but at least it will keep me motivated to constantly make new music.

I imagined that my first post would be more groundbreaking than this. Looks like I have some work to do as a blogger.
