Megatrend Records is an independent DIY electronic record label that I started out of my home. I am the owner by default since I’m the only person that does anything. It’s a quaint little setup but I like it that way. Oh, and when I say ‘quaint’… I mean it. It’s small. Like, I don’t even have a mailing address. This record label exists solely in the digital realm. I only distribute music through the website via downloads. I have no physical front. I only make CDs in small batches and distribute them to local music stores (unless an order is placed via e-mail). This is a very bare bones operation.
I originally created Megatrend Records to release my own musical compositions that I’d written and recorded over the years. In 2009 I started my own recording studio figured that mR could serve an even greater purpose if it weren’t exclusive to only my recordings.
Nowadays I’m using Megatrend Records to share the works of starving artists wanting their sounds to be heard by all. Feel free to browse.
